Terry Erdle
Terry Erdle is an experienced executive leader in the software development, training, certification, and non-profit association management arenas. He currently sits on the boards of ARDI foundation, an endowment supporting visiting professors at the U.S. Air Force Academy, INEF (International Education Foundation), a broadly focused education support foundation, and Erdle Family Holdings, a small business, real estate, and private equity management enterprise.
Terry brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in cyber security, online learning, and trade associations to Nova Space after most recently leading the $150M certification business as COO of the National Restaurant Association. In his capacity at NRA, Terry led the operations to record growth in revenues and executed one of the largest trade association transactions by integrating their trade show property with a major media concern. Prior to NRA, he was vice president of business development for Knowledge Factor and led the certification and learning division of CompTIA, the largest global IT certification body. He was chairman of the Cybersecurity Credentialing Collaborative and has held senior executive positions at Sun Microsystems, IHS Group and Mattel Toys.
He has led global expansion of technology certification standards in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, gaining acceptance at department, agency, and ministerial levels in more than 20 nations. Terry launched entirely new businesses, CompTIA Learning, as well as a for profit subsidiary (Examplify) to engage in tangential business opportunities. He also developed partnerships for completely new credentials in Mobility, Cloud, Storage, Linux, Green IT, and High School/Career Tech Ed offerings (in conjunction with U.S. Dept. of Education).
Terry holds a BS in Computer Science and Philosophy from Colorado State University, as well as an MSc in Computation and post graduate work in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University.
