Nova Space, a leader in space professional development and training, has announced its support of the UCCS Master of Business Administration (MBA) Space Cyber Enterprise Management Emphasis program. Through this collaboration, students in the program will utilize Nova Space’s industry-recognized Space Professional Program as part of their academic experience.
In addition, students will have the opportunity to earn the Space Professional Fundamentals certificate, awarded by the Space Workforce Institute (SWI). This credential validates foundational knowledge of the global space industry and provides learners with a competitive edge in both government and commercial space workforce environments.
“By integrating Nova Space’s training and the Space Professional Fundamentals certificate, UCCS MBA students will gain the essential knowledge to bridge the gap between business, cyber, and space enterprise management,” said Christopher Allen, CEO of Nova Space. “We are proud to support UCCS in preparing the next generation of leaders who will manage and secure the rapidly expanding space economy.”
“The partnership with Nova Space and the Space Workforce Institute strengthens the value of our MBA program by providing students with applied training and industry-recognized credentials,” said Thomas Aicher, Dean of the College of Business. “This collaboration ensures that our graduates are not only well-versed in business and cyber strategy but also fully prepared to lead within the evolving space ecosystem.”
Bill West, Executive Director of the Space Workforce Institute, emphasized the importance of integrating professional credentials into academic programs:
“Professional certificates and credentials serve as critical benchmarks in workforce development. They validate knowledge, demonstrate competency, and provide both employers and individuals with confidence in their readiness to succeed in the space industry. The inclusion of the Space Professional Fundamentals certificate in the UCCS MBA program ensures graduates stand out as industry-ready professionals.”
The UCCS Space Cyber Enterprise Management Emphasis, part of the AACSB-accredited MBA program at the College of Business, addresses the growing need for professionals who can navigate the unique challenges of the space sector.
